PROPERTY IN INDIA

All comments on these property pages are highly relevant to the year 2012. If or when circumstances cause us to comment otherwise, we will change our stance.
When you do business in India you will note that corruption is rampant and you will be "required" to pay money all the way up and down the chain to get anything done by the public "servants". That problem applies equally or more to dealing with real estate than it does for anything else that a foreigner needs.

The exchange rate in India remains high (Rp49.76=US$1) but taking faith from most world economists who proclaim India as one of the world's next great economic power, it seems that particularly with the rupee dropping, it is still a good time for investment.
Already, we see prices in some parts of India (eg Tamil Nadu) increasing at rates around 25% or more per year.

We have a strong association with a medium sized group of property agents in the Goa region of the central eastern coastline of India.
In addition, they have offices and property listings in Ahmedabad, Indore, Vrindavan, Jaipur and Bhopal.
Their integrity is beyond reproach because the principal, Mr Lalit Saraswat is a member of the local Rotary Club.

His group of companies specialises in the sale of large and small hotels as well as vacant land, bungalows and apartments, waterfront villas and mostly up-market properties in the above six regions.

Foreigners Buying Property in India - Non-resident Indians are allowed to buy property in India but non-Indian foreigners can only buy property via a resident company and only for company purposes, viz. commercial property and residential property for staff.
The issue is more complicated with the necessity to obtain a work or professional visa. This is where the problems begin.
If you need further assistance, email me and I can put you in touch with Mr Saraswat who you can trust to give you the right advice.
I do NOT recommend seeking advice from lawyers.

To be certain to receive the best service and the best price, please quote MyBatik Network when contacting Mr Saraswat directly. otherwise, we will handle all your enquiries for you.
